After working for many years in the wonderful field of architecture -- designing large-scale commercial and healthcare projects -- I decided to take a sabbatical from my career when our first child was born. Two years later, our twins were born. During this time, not only did we have three little ones in diapers, we had 3 mischievous hounds that kept us on our toes.
Once the children were in school, I needed a challenge that allows me to work from home and make my own schedule. Photography has always been an interest of mine, but I never really thought about it seriously as a career. My design training from architecture served as a solid foundation for my photography; however, I am mostly self-taught. On a whim, I entered a photography contest and won a seat at a photography workshop for women. The workshop changed my life. I met other like-minded women who were also looking for a life-work balance. This was when I started my own photography business.
My three children and three hounds have always been my sources of inspiration for capturing genuine images of everyday life. Hence the name BINKIES (kids) + NOSEPRINTS (dogs).
Warmly, Leslie C.
